Please find all relevant information regarding the Annual ACRP Conference as well as the AGM.

As previously notified, the Annual Conference including the AGM of the Association of Religious Practitioners (ACRP) is scheduled for Friday 25 and Saturday 26 August 2017 in Pretoria.

The Conference represents an important step towards the formal professionalisation of religious professions in South Africa and wider in Africa.

The main focus Conference will be on the formal professionalisation of religious professions under SAQA in terms of the NQF Act, 2008 and on commissioning ACRP as Professional Body for Religious Professionals through its three Professional Councils, namely the Council for General Ministry Practitioners (CGMP), the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC, formerly SAAP) and the Council for Ministry Training Practitioners (CMTP, formerly AMTP). Attention will also be given to the implications for professionalisation of the Culture, Religion and Language (CRL) Commission’s recent submission to Parliament.

Conference fee:

For persons with fully paid 2017 ACCinSA subscription, the fee is R400 per person

For persons not fully paid for 2017, or other interested parties, the fee is R500 per person

The fee covers the conference expenses including venue, documentation, refreshments, meals, etc.


To limit the risk of having huge amounts of cash on the premises during the conference we kindly request you to please consider rather using the first option of direct deposit into the banking account.
